Our offseason has began. The off season calender is attached on the right side, we look forward to seeing you at open wrestling. If you have not wrestled before but want to try, we encourage you to attend open wrestling. Camp information is attaced as well.
Spring Weight lifting/ Open Wrestling-(March, April, and May)
It is important for your athlete to gain strength in the off season. I encourage all of our athletes to lift weights on the program with coach Rill, after school. Lifting times may change throughout the year but if you have questions on lift times please contact me. As coaches we urge your athlete to set aside 30-45 minutes at least three times a week to weight lift.
Summer Weight lifting/ Open Wrestling – (June, July, August)
Weight Lifting-This is a time to continue lifting weights as detailed above 3 times a week. As wrestlers I want you to lift with Coach Rill during one of his classes. The summer classes will be run in two sessions, Session 1 from 8:00am-9:15 am and the other from 9:30-10:45 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Please choose a class and commit to it.
Open Wrestling- We will have open wrestling on Sunday nights from 6-7pm at Shawano Middle School.
Wrestling Camps- I encourage all of our wrestlers to attend any wrestling camps. Camps show new technique that we may not focus on, but the best part of wrestling camp is wrestling with other dedicated wrestlers. Wrestlers will have improved drill and practice habits after practicing with other wrestlers from around the state.
This is a AWA Camp it is new to Green Bay, it is called the Packerland Camp this is for June 26-30th. This is a takedown camp and will focus on winning the Neutral position. Please visit this web address to register.
