Sports Medicine Services are provided to the Shawano School District by Thedacare Medical Center - Shawano 

ATHLETIC TRAINING ROOM HOURS

Regular School Days:  M-F:  3:30pm until the completion of practices/events

Non-School Days:  Hours vary depending upon team schedules 

*The Athletic Trainer may not always be in the Athletic Training Room.  Medical coverage of certain events may require an Athletic Trainer to be with a team at a site outside of the high school.  

Summer (June-July):  By appointment only.  Contact the athletic trainer to set up a time to meet.

Robert Long

Robert joined ThedaCare Sports Medicine and SCHS on October 19, 2019. He graduated from UW-Green Bay in May, 2006, with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology with an emphasis in Exercise Science, and a Coaching Certification as a minor. He went on to earn his Master of Science in Athletic Training from Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA, in May, 2008.

 Before joining ThedaCare, Robert spent a brief time at Beloit College. Prior to Beloit College, Robert spent five years at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff where he served as the Director of Sports Medicine/Healthcare Administrator/Head Athletic Trainer providing athletic training services to 16 NCAA Division 1 athletic teams. He also worked at Mississippi Valley State University for five years and held the same position of Director of Sports Medicine/Healthcare Administrator/Head Athletic Trainer in Itta Bena, MS.

 In his free time, Roberts enjoys reading the Bible and increasing his faith with God, hunting, fishing, spending time enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with his Chocolate Lab, Camo.
