The secret is out, people are moving to the Shawano area and our community continues to grow! As a school district, we work hard to Engage, Empower, and Educate, Every Student, Every Day, the Hawk Way.

To accomplish this mission, we need to retain our high-quality staff and continually improve our schools for students. Our facilities also need to be safe, secure, and support learning. This has become more difficult because of the lack of predictable, sustainable funding from the state.

A recent comprehensive facilities plan identified specific repairs, replacements, and refurbishing needs of all school buildings within the Shawano School District. Additionally, community listening sessions provided valuable insights into the priorities of the community members who attended.

Shawano School District Long-Range Facility Plan

The Board of Education and administration have gathered information and now we are conducting a survey that will allow our community to share their voice before the Board makes its final decision on a long-term facilities proposal.

A survey was mailed to all district residents early October 2023. It outlines current facilities challenges, proposes solutions, and provides projected costs. The survey aims to present our current situation and gather your feedback to guide our planning process. We are committed to finalizing a plan that addresses these challenges and reflects the priorities of our taxpayer.

If you are a resident, one survey was sent to each household in the Shawano School District.

Please Complete Your Survey by October 30, 2023:

  • Option 1: To reduce mailing expenses, go to the survey website: www.Feedback2000.com and enter your survey code. Option 2: If you do not have internet access, please return the survey to any school office, or mail it to School Perceptions, PO Box 607, Slinger, WI 53086.

  • Questions or to request additional surveys: The survey code can be used only once. To obtain additional surveys for other adults (over 18) in your household, please call the District Office at (715) 526-3194.

Long Range Facility Plan Project ~ 2023

Press Release – Shawano School District - Community

The district has set a goal of having recommendations from the planning team presented to the board by July 1, 2023. The team from Hoffman will be engaging staff, students, and community in April and May as part of this new process looking at all potential needs and solutions.
