NOTICE OF VACANCY – Area 3

Due to a vacancy on the Shawano School Board of Education the Shawano School District will be accepting applications from interested individuals.  The interested individual must be a resident of Area 3 which is the Township of Wescott and a portion of the Township of Washington that is a part of the Shawano School District, must be 18 years of age or older, and a U.S. citizen.

Term: The appointment will be through the April 2027 spring election at which time the successor will be elected for the remainder of the term (April 2029).

Interested individuals must file a Declaration of Interest with Lori Sherman at the Shawano School District Office no later than 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2026. Filing forms can be acquired from the Shawano School District Office at 1310 South Union Street, Shawano between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The Board of Education may interview applicants. If the decision is made to interview, this will be in an open session during a school board meeting.
