📚💬 Reading Buddies Wrap Up with Heart! 💫💛
Ms. Almario's and Mrs. Boldt's classes came together for their final reading buddies session, and while not much reading happened—that was exactly the point! 😊
Instead, students spent time talking, laughing, and making friendship bracelets, soaking in those last moments of connection and joy.
Over the past few months, these buddies have built special friendships through books, curiosity, and kindness. Watching them grow—not just as readers, but as thoughtful, caring humans—has been an absolute joy.
Here’s to the big memories made by our little buddies! 💕

⚽🎉 Senior Night & A Milestone Moment for Shawano Girls Soccer! 🎓🔥
The Shawano Girls Soccer Team had double the reason to celebrate on May 22—it was Senior Night, and senior Trinity Popelka scored her 100th varsity goal! 💯⚽
What an incredible achievement for a standout athlete!
Popelka’s big night was filled with teamwork, as she scored with help from Maddie Moesch, and also assisted goals by Della Vue and Lily Glysch.
🎯 Other Highlights from the Match:
– Desirae Erdmann netted 2 goals
– Adrienne Rekow added an assist
– Makayla Aerts scored a PK
– Kyla Dove, Kendall Knope, and Arica Preston each added goals
– Maddy Pyatskowit closed out the scoring with 2 goals, including one off an assist from Knope
👏 An all-around team effort made this night unforgettable—not just for Trinity, but for the entire Hawks squad.
📅 The Hawks wrap up the Bay Conference Round Robin Tournament with a home game against Green Bay East on Tuesday, May 27.

🎶🎤 Middle School Musicians Visit Hillcrest! 🎷🎻
The middle school music program hit the road and brought their talent to Hillcrest, performing for students and staff in an exciting and energetic concert!
The concert orchestra, jazz band, and swing choir each took the stage and had a blast sharing their hard work and musical passion. 🎵
The performances were full of rhythm, harmony, and smiles from both the audience and the performers!

🎨🐟 Art Meets Tradition! 🐟🎨
Mr. Homan's latest catch—a mix of brown trout and carp—turned into something truly special in the art room! Our talented 7th-grade artists used the traditional Japanese printmaking technique Gyotaku to create stunning fish prints using Indian ink and newsprint. 🖌️📰
Originally developed by anglers to record their biggest catches, Gyotaku now gives our students an incredible hands-on opportunity to blend art, culture, and nature. Each print is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that highlights the intricate details and textures of these amazing fish.
