They connected with professionals from over 50 businesses and explored a wide variety of career paths and local opportunities.

🚜🌾 7th Grade Ag Students Explore Wisconsin Agriculture Firsthand! 🌽🐄
Mr. Stomberg's 7th grade Agriculture class from Shawano Community Middle School recently took an unforgettable field trip to the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center in Manitowoc! 🚌📍
Students explored over 10,000 square feet of interactive exhibits, discovering the diversity and innovation in Wisconsin’s agriculture industry.
From learning where their food comes from, to seeing the tech behind modern farming, students made real-world connections to what they’ve been learning in class. 📚✨
A highlight of the day included a tour of the Grotegut Dairy Farm, home to over 3,000 cows! 🐄🐄🐄

🎨🖌️ SCHS Artists Shine at UW-Oshkosh High School Art Day!
Seven talented SCHS students were selected to represent our High School Art Department at the annual UW-Oshkosh High School Art Day, held Friday, April 25th at the UW-O Fine Art Department.
Students brought one of their strongest works to be critiqued by university art professors and students, and also took part in hands-on art activities led by UW-O art education majors.
👏 Special congratulations to Savanna White, Sabella Sisavath, and Olivia Anderson—their pieces were juried into the HSAD Exhibit and will be on display at the Steinhilber Gallery of Art in the Reeve Memorial Union from April 29–May 3!

Olivia Anderson has been awarded the Blick Award – High School Level at this year’s Wisconsin Art Education Association Youth Art Month State Exhibit! 🎉👏
She received this honor for her cut-paper/color pencil artwork at the closing reception in Madison on March 28th. As part of her award, Olivia received paints, canvas, and brushes from Blick, a national supplier of high-quality art materials. 🎨🖌️

LEADS kindergarten students had an amazing day of learning at the Shawano County Landfill and Outagamie County Recycling Facility! 📦🔍
As part of their inquiry unit about recycling, they got to explore how recyclables are collected, sorted, and turned into new products!

🍽️🎉 FlavorFest Cooking School & Expo: A Huge Success! 🎉🍽️
Shawano Community Education hosted its second annual FlavorFest Cooking School and Expo on Saturday, March 22nd, in partnership with The Market Messenger and Charlie's County Market. 🛍️🍴
A record-breaking 475 people registered and enjoyed a fantastic culinary experience with a vendor fair and a Supper Club-themed Cooking School! 🍷🥘
A huge thank you to our amazing partners, vendors, and talented chefs Rhonda Strebel and Terri Dallas for making the event so memorable! 💙👩🍳

🍁 LEADS Primary Charter School students had a sweet time learning about the maple syrup production process during their field trip to Yeager's Sugar Shack! 🍁
They explored the steps from tapping the trees to boiling sap and even got to try a delicious taste test of fresh maple syrup!

Congrats to our CDE teams with Shawano FFA who recently competed at Mid-State Technical College in WI Rapids.
All four teams qualified for state competition that will be held at the end of April at UW-Madison. The areas were all very competitive!
Final team placings included:
